AICTE Pragati Scholarships 2022-23: Pragati Scholarship is an MHRD Scheme being implemented by AICTE strived at assisting the Advancement of Girls pursuing Technical Education. Education is one of the most important means of enabling women with the knowledge, skill, and self-confidence required to join fully in the development process. This is an effort to allow young women to further their education and prepare for a successful future by “Empowering Women through Technical Education”

All India Council Technical Education (AICTE) welcomes online applications for Pragati Scholarship Schemes for the academic year 2019. The scholarship will be given to only two girl children of a family for pursuing their undergraduate professional/diploma courses. In a year total of 4000 scholarships will be offered to the selected girl students  (2000 for Degree and 2000 for Diploma). Pragati Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

The details of the conditions required to apply for the Pragati scheme are given here. Candidates should make sure they fulfill all the criteria before applying for the Pragati scholarship PDF.

  • Up to Two Girls per family can apply.
  • Family income should not be more than Rs. 8 Lakhs per Annum (in case of a married girl, the income of parents/in-laws, whichever is higher will be considered)
  • Students Admitted for Diploma/Undergraduate Degree Level Programmes/Courses in AICTE Approved Institutions.
  • Only for the students admitted in the first year of their Degree/Diploma for the academic year 2017-18.
  • The selection of the candidate will be made on merit on the basis of qualifying examination to peruse the respective Technical Degree/Diploma course from any of the AICTE approved institutions.

  • Go to AICTE Portal @ https://www.aicte-pragati-saksham-gov.in/ to register for Pragati Scheme.
  • Click on “Register Here” to create a new profile. Enter the details and click on “Register”.
  • A confirmation e-mail link will be sent to the registered e-mail ID. Please click on the link to confirm your registration.
  • Login again at https://www.aicte-pragati-saksham-gov.in/ with the registered e-mail Id/User name and Password to fill out the online application form.
  • Enter personal details, details of family and income, details of the Institute in which Admission is taken for first-year Degree or Diploma course along with fee paid details, SSC/10th Standard and HSC/12th Standard details, details of the Aadhar seeded Savings Bank Account.
  • Attach the scan copies of all the necessary documents in jpg./pdf./png. Formats.
  • Submit the application form.
  • Take the printout for future reference.

Documents Required for Pragati Scholarship

  • SSC/10th Standard Mark sheet.
  • HSC/12th Standard Mark sheet.
  • Annual Family Income Certificate for the financial year 2016-17 as per Annexure-I (or) in the prescribed format issued by Tehsildar or above competent Authority.
  • Admission letter issued by the Centralized Admission Authority to first-year Degree/Diploma courses for the academic year 2017-18.
  • Tuition fee paid receipt for the academic year 2017-18.
  • Scanned Copy of Aadhar Seeded Bank Pass Book showing the name of the student, Account number, IFSC code and Photograph pasted at appropriate place duly signed by Manager with the rubber stamp of Bank affixed.
  • Certificate Issued by the Director/Principal/HOD as per Annexure-II
  • Certificate issued by Competent Authority in case of candidates applying for Saksham Scheme (Only for Physically Disabled Candidates having more than 40% disability) as per the State Government Format.
  • Attested a Scanned copy of the SC/ST/OBC Certificate, in case of applying for the SC/ST/OBC category.
  • Declaration by parents duly signed stating that the information provided by their child is correct and will refund the Scholarship amount if found false at any stage as per Annexure – III

Pragati Scholarship Benefits and Rewards

The amount of scholarship offered by the Pragati scheme and who will get the amount, other benefits are given to the students along with scholarship reward, and other related details are provided here.

  • The AICTE Pragati Scholarship rewards a total of 4000 scholarships to girl students, of which 2000 scholarships are given to students pursuing diplomas and 2000 to degree students.
  • The selected scholars will receive a tuition fee of INR 30,000 or the actual tuition fee amount, whichever is less.
  • The selected scholars also become eligible to get INR 2000 per month for 10 months as incidental charges each year.
  • In case of Tuition fee waiver/reimbursement, Students are eligible to get an amount of Rs. 30,000/- for the purchase of Books/Equipment/software/ Laptop/Desktop/Vehicle/Fee paid towards competitive examination application forms/exam.
  • Fees paid for competitive exams, application forms/exam fees for all examinations related to higher education/employment.

Pragati Scholarship Reservation

  • A reservation of 15% for SC candidates, 7.5% for ST candidates and 27% for OBC candidates/applicants is provided by AICTE.
  • Candidates falling under these categories have to provide their caste certificate at the time of document submission while applying for the scheme.

Important Instructions for Pragati Scholarship

  • Only the scholars who have taken admitted in the first year of their degree/diploma program in the current academic year can apply for this scholarship.
  • The scanned copies of the applicant’s passport size photo and signature must be uploaded in .jpg/.pdf/.png format while filling out the application form. The file size of the photo should not be more than 200 kb and the signature should not be more than 50kb.
  • Students who got admission through the management quota are not eligible for the AICTE Pragati Scholarship.
  • Candidates must have a general savings account of their own in a bank. They cannot use the FRILL/Minor/Joint account.
  • Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) is used to directly transfer the scholarship amount into the selected candidate’s bank account.
  • The scholarships for degrees and diplomas are transferable in event of the non-availability of eligible applicants in any of the degree/diploma level programs.

Question 1.
What is Pragati Scholarship?

Answer:
Pragati Scholarship is a government scholarship scheme implemented by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Under this scholarship scheme, a total of 4000 scholarships are disbursed every year among meritorious girl students for pursuing technical education.  Tuition Fee of Rs. 30,000/- or at actual, whichever is less and Rs.2000/- per month for 10 months as incidentals charges each year.

Question 2.
What is Saksham Scholarship?

Answer:
Saksham is an MHRD Scheme being implemented by AICTE aimed at providing encouragement and support to specially-abled children to pursue Technical Education. This is an attempt to give every young student, who is otherwise specially abled, the opportunity to study further and prepare for a successful future. Tuition Fee of Rs. 30,000/- or at actual, whichever is less and Rs.2000/- per month for 10 months as incidentals charges each year.

Question 3.
Is the AADHAAR Card Mandatory for PRAGATI (or) SAKSHAM Scholarship?

Answer:
Yes. Aadhaar card and Aadhaar seeded bank account in the name of the candidate are mandatory for submitting an online application under Pragati/Saksham schemes.

Question 4.
How the scholarship will be disbursed through College/Institute?

Answer:
The scholarship will be disbursed only through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) directly in the bank account of the student. The student must have a General Saving Account in the bank. (FRILL/Minor/Joint account will not be accepted).

Government of India Post-Matric Scholarship – Eligibility Criteria

  1. Annual family income should be less than or equal to Rs.2.5 Lakh.
  2. Only for Scheduled Caste (SC) or Navbouddha category.
  3. The student must be a domicile of DBT Maharashtra.
  4. The student must have passed SSC/equivalent matric.
  5. For students residing out of Maharashtra, the same rules are applicable.
  6. Only two professional courses at a time are allowed.

Maintenance Allowance for Students Studying in Professional Courses – Eligibility

  1. The students should be admitted to professional courses.
  2. The students should be the scholarship holder of the Government of India.
  3. The family annual income should be less than or equal to Rs.2.5 Lakh.
  4. The students who are studying in the professional curriculum and residing in Hostel (Government or Institutes Hostel or outside).

Maintenance Allowance for Students Studying in Professional Courses – Benefits

The students residing in government hostels:

  • Course duration between 4 to 5 years: Rs.7000 per annum
  • Course duration between 2 to 3 years: Rs.5000
  • Course duration below 2 years: Rs.500

The students who are not admitted to government hostels should adhere to:

  • Course duration between 4 to 5 years: Rs.10000 per annum
  • Course duration between 2 to 3 years: Rs.7000 per annum
  • Course duration below 2 years: Rs.5000 per annum

Rajarshri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship – Eligibility

  1. Only to the SC category.
  2. No income limit for the scholarship.
  3. Students must be studying in class 11th or 12th.
  4. Students should secure 75% and above in class 10th.
  5. The student should be a domicile of Maharashtra.

Rajarshri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship – Benefits

  • Under this scheme, the SC students who secured 75% in the SSC examination and take admission in Class XI will get a scholarship of Rs.300 per month for 10 months for two years.
  • This Scholarship will be given in addition to the Government of India (GOI) scholarship and freeship

Post-Matric Scholarship for Persons with Disability – Eligibility

  1. The students who are disabled are eligible to apply. (40% or above)
  2. The students should be a domicile of Maharashtra.
  3. The students should be studying in a recognized university or institute.
  4. The scholarship will not be applicable if the candidate fails or quits the same course.
  5. The student studying in recognized institutes or colleges out of Maharashtra and belonging to the Maharashtra state are also eligible.
  6. The students pursuing post-graduation from the medical field but not allowed to practice outside of the institute are also eligible.
  7. The candidates who are taking distance education from a recognized institution where non-refundable fees have to be paid by the student are eligible to apply.
  8. The candidate residing in college/institute or any other recognized hostel & if he/she pays hostel fees then the candidate’s maintenance allowance will be given at hosteller rates.

Post-Matric Scholarship for Persons with Disability – Benefits

The maintenance allowance is provided as per Group A, Group B, Group C, Group D, and Group E per month.

The professional and technical education candidates who must go for a practice tour will get Rs.500 at maximum. If the project is a mandatory part of the course then for printing and typing, an additional Rs.600 will be provided.

Tribal Development Department Scholarships

Post Matric Scholarship Scheme

  1. Only ST students are applicable to apply.
  2. The annual family income should not exceed Rs.2.5 Lakh.
  3. The students should at least have passed the class 10thexamination.

Maintenance Allowance

The maintenance allowance (hostellers/day scholars) per month

  • Group 1 – Rs.1200/ Rs.550
  • Group 2 – Rs.820/ Rs.530
  • Group 3 – Rs.570/ Rs.300
  • Group 4 – Rs.380/ Rs.230

Reader allowance

  • Group 1 and 2: Rs.240
  • Group 3: Rs.200
  • Group 4: Rs.160

The students will receive an escort allowance of Rs.160 per month and a special Pay of Rs.160 per month. The mentally retired will receive extra coaching and be paid Rs.240 per month along with the following:

  • Study tours: Rs.1600 per annum, Thesis typing/printing: Rs.1600 per annum
  • Book grant: Rs.1200 per annum.

Tuition Fee and Exam Fee for Tribal Students

  1. The student’s annual family income should not exceed Rs.2.5 Lakh.
  2. The students should belong to the ST category only.
  3. Tuition fees and exam fees as per the approved college fee structure will be waived under this scheme.

Vocational Education Fee for Reimbursement

  1. The student’s annual family income should not exceed Rs.2.5 Lakh.
  2. The students should belong to the ST category only.
  3. The students who are enrolled in vocational education courses like, Engineering, Pharmacy, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development, Vaastu Shastra, MBA, and MCA will be eligible.
  4. Tuition fees and exam fees as per the approved college fee structure will be waived under this scheme.

Vocational Education Maintenance Allowance

  1. The student’s annual family income should not exceed Rs.2.5 Lakh.
  2. The students should belong to the ST category only.

The maintenance allowance is categorized by course duration (Hostellers/Day Scholars/) per annum.

  • The course duration of 4-5 years is Rs.7,000 and Rs.10,000 respectively·
  • The course duration of 2-3 years Rs.5000 and Rs.7000 respectively.
  • The course duration of 2 years or less – Rs.5000

Directorate of Higher Education (DHE) Scholarships

Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulkh Shishyavrutti Scheme

  • Domicile of Maharashtra
  • They should belong to Maharashtra State Border or Karnataka State Border to apply for the scholarship.
  • The family’s annual income should not exceed Rs.8 lakh.
  • The candidates belonging to the general category and who have taken admission are eligible to apply.
  •  The Candidate should not avail of any other scholarship or stipend.
  •  The courses that students have enrolled in should be approved by the government or AICTE.
  • The students should not have had a 2-year of the gap during their course.
  • The students must have given all semester examinations.
  • 100% tuition fee waived for Government & Non-government aided courses for students up to Rs.2.5 Lakh family annual income.
  • Students with a family annual income up to 8 Lakh will receive 50% Government and Non-government aided tuition fees.
  • 50% and 100% of the examination fee will be paid for professional and non-professional courses.

Assistance to Meritorious Students Scholarship Junior Level

  • The students from classes 11th & 12th class are eligible to apply.
  • The students should have a DHE sanctioned letter.
  • The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra can apply for this scheme.
  • The AMS junior-level scholarship amount is up to Rs.3000.
  • The AMS senior-level scholarship amount is up to Rs.7000.

Education Concession to the Children of Ex-Servicemen

  • The Candidate’s son/daughter/wife/widow of ex-servicemen are eligible.
  • The students should be enrolled in government-aided colleges only.
  • The Maharashtrian Students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme.
  • The college dress allowance and books allowance is paid up to Rs.445.

Eklavya Scholarship

  • Arts with at least 60% marks in Science with at least 70% marks.
  • The annual income of the Candidate’s parents should not exceed Rs.75000.
  • The Candidate must be a resident of Maharashtra state.
  • The beneficiary should not do a part-time or full-time job.
  • The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme.
  • The students must have graduated in degree courses in Law, Commerce.
  • The scholarship worth Rs.5000 is for all the sanctioned students.

State Government Open Merit Scholarship

  • The Candidate must be a resident of the Maharashtra state.
  • The Candidate should have secured at least 60% marks in class 12th.
  • This scholarship is for students who have enrolled in Arts, Commerce, Science and Law courses.
  • The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme.
  • Rs.100 per month will be paid directly to the student’s bank account.

Scholarship to Meritorious Students Possessing Mathematics/Physics

  • At least 60% in Science exam and more than 60% in Maths & Physics in Class 12th.
  • The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme.
  • The Candidate must be a resident of the Maharashtra State.
  • Rs.100 per month will be paid directly to the student’s bank account

Government Vidyaniketan Scholarship

  • 60% marks in class 10th examination.
  • The student should have passed the class 10th exam from the State Government Vidyanikethan only.
  • The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme.
  • The Candidate must be a resident of the Maharashtra State.
  • Rs.100 per month will be paid.

State Government Dakshina Ahichatra Scholarship

  • The Candidate must be a graduate student from non-agriculture University only.
  • The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme.
  • The Candidate must be a resident of the Maharashtra State.
  • Rs.250 per month scholarship amount will get disbursed by the department.

Government Research Adichatra

  • The Candidate must be a postgraduate degree holder.
  • The Candidate must be a resident of the Maharashtra State.
  • The Candidate should have secured 60% marks in post-graduation.
  • The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme.
  • Scholarship amount Rs.750 per month and Rs.1000 per year for other expenses.

Education Concession to the Children Freedom Fighter

  • The Candidates who are son/daughter/wife/widow of freedom fighters are eligible.
  • The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme
  • The students should be a domicile of Maharashtra.
  • The scholarship of Rs.50 per month for PG courses and Rs.60 per month for Engineering courses.

The candidates can apply for the Maharashtra DTE scholarship via Aaple Sarkar DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) portal. GATE Scholarship 2022-23: AICTE GATE scholarship is a scholarship provided for candidates with sufficiently high GATE scores. Primarily meant for M.Tech students, the scholarship is awarded on a semester basis for up to two years. For Ph.D. students, the scholarship is extended to a maximum of 5 years. The scholarship is provided and regulated by the All India Council for Technical Education, Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD).

The monthly stipend for M.Tech students amounts up to INR 12,400 per month for 8 hours of work per week. For Ph.D. students, the scholarship amount has been raised to INR 25,000 per month. GATE Scholarship – Important Guidelines & Eligibility Criteria

Gate scholarship scheme is meant to provide financial support for students who have qualified GATE/ GPAT and are admitted to AICTE approved programs such as Master of Engineering, Master of Architecture, Master of Technology, and Master of Pharmacy at AICTE approved institutions.

  • The scholarship is eligible to students who are admitted in any of the aforementioned courses with a valid GPAT or GATE score at the time of admission. Students qualifying the above exams AFTER the date of admission are not eligible for the scholarship.
  • Candidates pursuing part-time courses are not eligible for GATE scholarship.
  • Candidates receiving the scholarship are subjected to a condition that they do not receive any other financial aids in the form of other scholarships, stipend, salary or any other emoluments from another source during the course of their study.
  • GATE scholarships are not applicable to foreign students, candidates admitted through management quota and sponsored candidates.
  • Every PG student must undertake 8 – 10 hours of work per week related to research activities, teaching or any other activities assigned by the student’s respective institute.
  • The scholarship is awarded on a monthly basis subject to academic performance & adherence to the university rules.
  • Students who are taking admission for the second time (for requalifying GATE or GPAT exams) and have availed the scholarship from AICTE or other centrally funded institutions are not eligible for the GATE scholarship.
  • The tenure of the scholarship is 24 months, or the duration of the course – from the date of commencement of classes to the date of completion of the classes, whichever is lower. The tenure of the scholarship cannot be extended in any case.
  • The student will be required to provide an undertaking stating that they will not abandon the course midway. In case a student leaves the course midway, they will be required to refund the amount of the scholarship drawn at till the time of leaving the course.
  • The scholarship may be discontinued if the student is found to have indulged in any malpractice, misbehavior or ragging.
  • The bank account names and the candidates’ names should be identical
  • Joint accounts are not entertained
  • Students must possess a general savings account. (No frills/ minor account will be rejected)
  •  IF authentic certificates relating to caste/ physical handicap are not provided by students belonging to SC/ST/OBC and physically handicapped candidates, they will not be eligible for a GATE scholarship.

INSPIRE Scholarship is a government scholarship that offers financial support to meritorious students for higher education. Students studying Bachelor and Master degrees in Natural & Basic Sciences are eligible for this scholarship. Around 10000 merit scholarships are disbursed every year under this scholarship. Eligibility

  • Students must be within the top 1% of aggregate marks in class 12th board examination.
  • Students must be pursuing B.Sc. or Integrated M.Sc. in Natural and Basic Sciences.
