NTSE Syllabus 2019: NTSE is one of the most competitive and Prestigious programs of Scholarship in India. Nearly 10 lakhs students appear for the exam every year to gain the NTSE Scholarship. NCERT will conduct this exam for class 10 students. This Scholarship Scheme is for only Class 10 students. Students who are going to attend NTSE Exam must have knowledge about NTSE Exam Pattern and NTSE Syllabus. It is necessary for students to know about NTSE Syllabus to plan their preparation accordingly and focus on syllabus and all concepts.   • Name of the Exam: National Talent Search Examination (NTSE)
  • Conducting Body: NCERT
  • Level of the Exam: National
  • Mode of the Exam: Offline
  • Exams: Mental Aptitude Test, Scholastic Aptitude Test
  • Class level: 10th standard
  • Exam duration: 120 minutes for both MAT and SAT
  • Application Form Availability: August 2019
  • Total Scholarships: 2000
  • Scholarship amount:
    • Higher Secondary level – Rs. 1250/- p.m.
    • Graduate and Post Graduate – Rs. 2000/- p.m. (3 Years),
    • For a Ph.D. degree 2000/- (four years) – As per UGC norms

NTSE Exam Pattern

Students should have to know about before getting into NTSE Syllabus is the NTSE Exam Pattern. Exam pattern is the same for both stages, NTSE Stage I and NTSE Stage II. In both Stages, there are 2 sections

  1. Mental Ability Test (MAT) and
  2. Scholastic Ability Test (SAT).

The SAT again has two parts

  1. Language Test and Science,
  2. Social Science & Mathematics.

The syllabus is same for all these sections, for both the stages of NTSE.
