TS PGECET Counselling 2019: Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS PGECET) is Telangana State Level Common Entrance Test for Admission into Regular PG Courses in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Pharmacy (ME / M.Tech./ M.Pharmacy / M.Arch ), Graduate level Pharm-D (Post Baccalaureate) for the academic year 2019-20 conducted by Osmania University on behalf of Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE), a Statutory body of the Government of Telangana., Hyderabad.

TS PGECET Counselling Schedule 2019
The official counselling schedule has not been updated yet on the official website. Here we provide the tentative counselling schedule, based off of past year trends. It will give you a general idea as to when to expect to be called. Note that this is not the final schedule. Also note that based on the number of vacancies, the number of counselling rounds may be more than two, as required to fill all the seats.
TS PGECET Counselling 2019 – Documents Required for Certificate Verification
The following original certificates are to be submitted at the time of verification:
For General Category
- GATE/ GPAT/ PGECET rank card and PGECET Hall Ticket.
- Degree Certificate of marks of the qualifying examination.
- Memo of SSC or its equivalent.
- Certificate from 10th to Graduation.
- Residence Certificate for preceding 7 years of the qualifying examination i.e. Graduation in respect of candidates who have a private study.
- Integrated community certificate issued by the authority in case of BC/SC/ST candidates.
- In case of non-local candidates, Residence certificate from M. R. O of either of parents in Telangana for 10 years is required.
- Transfer Certificate
- Aadhar Card
- Income Certificate issued by MRO after 01-01-2019 will only be considered.
- Minorities – Degree TC containing minority status.
For Special Category
- PH Category: Candidates who have 40% disability or above will be considered eligible and they have to produce a certificate issued by the District Medical Board.
- NCC & Sports Category: Candidates have to submit Original Documents issued by the concerned Competent Authority.
- CAP Category: Serving persons have to produce Service Certificate from the place of Work indicating the relationship with the Candidate. Candidates whose parents are domiciled in the State of Telangana are eligible to be considered under “CAP” Category”.

TS PGECET Counselling 2019 Certificate Verification
The first and foremost step is to get your certificates and documents verified. You need to register for the same in the official Helpline centers (Check out the entire list on the official website). You will then be provided with a date and venue for the procedure. When you reach the venue, you will have to show your rank card at the entrance to get in. Once inside, you will be called according to rank to pay the counseling fee. You also need to fill in the registration form using the relevant details. You will then have to submit the following original documents for verification:
Document Verification for General Category

TS PGECET Web Counselling 2019
Follow the given steps after document verification:
- Step – 1: Visit the official TS PGECET website (link is given above).
- Step – 2: Click on “TS PGECET Admissions Open” link.
- Step – 3: Read the instructions displayed on the screen carefully before clicking proceed. You can print the instructions out if you wish.
- Step – 4: Click on the “Exercise TS PGECET Web Options” link on the home page.
- Step – 5: The verification window will open. You will be prompted to enter the required details such as Registration number (GATE/GPAT), Hall Ticket number (TS PGECET), Registered mobile number, etc.
- Step – 6: On clicking “Submit”, a password will be generated and sent to you on your registered E-mail ID and phone number. You can use this password to log in.
TS PGECET Counselling 2019 – Choice Filling
You will now be able to fill in your choices of colleges and courses. You can also filter the choices available based on alphabetical order or based on the district. You can modify the choices at any time before freezing it. Once you have finished entering your preferences, you can save the lost by clicking the “SAVE” button and confirming using your password. You can take a print out of your filled-in choices for future reference.
TS PGECET Counselling 2019 – Freezing Option
The exercising of web options will be closed at 12:00 A.M. on the last date for web options as per the notification.
Options registered in the server will be frozen automatically on the last day and will be used for seat allotment of TS PGECET 2019.
TS PGECET Counselling 2019 – Seat allotment
Seats will be allotted based on the choices filled in, number of vacancies available and your rank in the merit list. You will receive an allotment letter once a seat has been allotted to you. You need to take a print out of it and report at the allotted institute to confirm your seat and complete the admission process.

TS PGECET Counselling 2019 General Instructions
Below given are the general instructions that you need to keep in mind.
- Candidates are required to apply for TS PGECET-2019 test through Online mode only (printed hard copy of the applications will not be accepted).
- The application/registration fee is Rs. 1000/- (Rs 500/- in case of SC/ST) per test. In case a candidate wants to appear for more than one test, the separate registration fee has to be paid for each test.
- The examination will be conducted in Online Mode only i.e., Computer Based Test (CBT).
- The examination will be held from 10.00 AM to 12.00 Noon (Reporting time at the test center will be 09:00 AM) in the morning session and 2.00PM to 4.00 PM (Reporting time at the test center will be 01:00 PM) for the afternoon sessions.
- Computer Based Test (CBT) is of two-hour duration with 120 multiple choice objective type questions, carrying one mark for each question. No negative marks will be awarded for incorrect answer. The cut-off mark in the Common Entrance Test is 30 marks, in case of SC/ST there are no minimum marks.
- The Question Papers will be in English only, syllabus of each test paper is given in the official website (link is given above).
- Candidates must ensure that they choose the correct test paper, which qualifies them to become eligible to seek admission to the specific program they are interested in. The details of the courses offered by the Universities along with specified eligibility for each course and test to be written is given on the official TS PGECET website (link is given above). Candidates should ensure that they satisfy the eligibility criteria for admission into the preferred program.
- TS PGECET-2019 will be held at two different regional centers in the State of Telangana i.e., Hyderabad and Warangal.
- As per AICTE the eligibility criterion for admission to Engineering and Pharmacy is 50% in the qualifying examination (45% for reserved category). Further, the qualifying degree (Professional courses) obtained under distance mode must have AICTE / Distance Education Council (DEC) approval.
- Candidate should satisfy local/non-local status requirements as per GO Ms. No 153.
- The Hall-Tickets are to be downloaded from the official website (link is given above). Without HallTickets the candidate will not be allowed into the test center.
- Appearing in the test does not guarantee admission. The candidate has to satisfy all the requirements at the time of admission.
