Vidyadhan Scholarship 2022-23: The Vidyadhan Scholarship is a scholarship that is provided by the Sarojini Damodaran Foundation. It aims to provide financial support to economically weak and meritorious students to pursue higher education. Students are eligible to apply for the scholarship after they complete their class 10 board exams or equivalent. Currently, the scholarship can be availed across 8 states in India.

The states that fall under the Vidyadhan scholarship are Telangana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Pondicherry,  Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala. As of 2022, there are over 2800 students being sponsored across states in India. The initial duration of the scholarship is for two years (classes 11 and 12). If the students continue to pursue their studies with meritorious results, the scholarship will be extended to help students pursue a degree course.

Vidyadhan Scholarship 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Students can avail of the Vidyadhan Scholarship provided they satisfy the following eligibility criteria:

• The annual family income of the students must be under INR 2,00,000.
• Students should have secured not less than 90% marks or equivalent in class 10/ SSC examination. 75% is the cut-off for candidates with disabilities.
• The students should have completed their class 10th or equivalent from one of the following states:

Vidyadhan Scholarship Application Procedure

• Students are required to visit the official homepage at https://www.vidyadhan.org/
• On the top right, click “Apply for Scholarship”. Vidyadhan Scholarship 2019 Application Form will open.
• Fill in the relevant details, such as name, date of birth, email ID, etc. The students are also prompted to create a new password for future references and further tracking.
• Any future communication by the sponsor will be through the email provided at the time of registration.

Vidyadhan Scholarship Selection Procedure

The selection process will initially screen students on the basis of academic performance. Provisionally selected students will have to appear for either an interview or a test. The date and time of the interview will be provided to the students who are shortlisted individually. Moreover, the foundation will reimburse the travel expenses of the student and a parent in certain cases.

Maharashtra Scholarships Online Application Process

The Maharashtra government also runs its online Maharashtra scholarship portal namely, the MahaDBT scholarship 2022-2023 portal by which the candidates can log in to MahaDBT login and apply for various scholarships. Step 1: Online Registration

The candidates are available for both UID-based registration and non-UID based registration.

For UID-Based Registration

• Go to the MahaDBT Scholarship website at https://mahadbtmahait.gov.in/
• Click on “New Applicant Registration”.
• Click on “Yes” and enter your Aadhaar number to proceed.
• Authenticate student’s Aadhaar details either by using OTP (through linked mobile number) or by using Biometric (if the mobile number is not linked with Aadhaar)
• Once, the Aadhaar details are authenticated, fill in all the required details on the registration form.
• Create candidate’s login details (username and password)
• Verify the candidate’s email ID and mobile number via OTP for successful registration.
• Save all details and proceed.

For Non-UID based registration

• Visit the MahaDBT gov in Scholarship Website.
• Click on “New Applicant Registration”.
• Click on “No” and register either by using the Aadhaar enrolment ID or by knowing the current status of the candidates’ Aadhaar numbers.
• Fill in all the required details.
• Verify the candidate’s email ID and mobile number through OTP for successful registration.
• Create candidate’s login details (username and password)
• Upload candidate’s photograph as specified and other supporting documents (identity proof, address proof and birth proof.
• Click on “Register” to complete registration.

Step – 2: User Login Procedure

• Once successfully registered, students can log in to the MahaDBT scholarship portal by clicking on “Applicant login”.
• Enter the candidate’s registered username and password to log in.
• In case, students forget candidates’ passwords, students can click on the “Forget password” button to retrieve it.

Step – 3: Submission of Application Form

• Once students have successfully logged in, students will be directed to the user dashboard.
• Click on “Profile” to update the candidates’ profiles.
• If the candidate’s profile is 100% complete, students will get the list of suggested eligible scholarship schemes.
• Select the scholarship student wants to apply for.
• Click on the “Apply” button to proceed with the scholarship application.
• Provide all necessary information and upload supporting documents (if required).
• Finally, submit the application.

Step – 4: Checking Application Status

• After successful submission of the scholarship application, the candidates can check the status of their application by clicking on “Applied Schemes”.
• If the candidate’s application is under scrutiny, it will be visible under the head of “Under Scrutiny Applications”.
• If the candidate’s application is approved, it will be visible under the head of “Approved Applications”.
• If the candidate’s application is rejected, it will be visible under the head of “Rejected Applications”.

UGAM Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

To ensure eligibility, candidates have to ensure that they fulfill the following requirements:

• Candidates must possess Indian citizenship and should be residing in India
• The annual family income of the candidates must be less than INR 10 lakhs.
• Candidates that belong to families of armed forces martyred on duty are also eligible to apply.
• Candidates must be under 30 years of age on the application date
• Candidates must possess a professional qualification, a diploma or degree in their specialization.
• Candidates should have obtained admission for the aforementioned courses from a reputable French University starting from September 2020.
• Candidates in France currently pursuing an M1 are not eligible.

Inlaks Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must be Indian citizens, staying in India for the past six months at the time of making the application.
• Candidates must possess a first-class degree from a recognized university or institution in India.
• Candidates applying for the scholarship in the field of Arts and Design will be primarily judged based on their portfolio.
• Candidates who have studied abroad must have stayed in India for at least 2 years post returning from abroad.
• Candidates that possess a Master’s or a P.hD from a university abroad are not eligible.
• Candidates must ensure that they have admission to the institution and chosen course at the time of application. Candidates without admission will lose their candidature.
• Candidates who have begun their postgraduate studies abroad are not eligible.
• The maximum age of candidates is 30 years.

Inlaks Scholarship Subjects (Not Eligible)

The foundation does not provide scholarships for the following subjects:

• Business Studies
• Computer Science
• Engineering
• Fashion Design
• Film & Film Animation
• Medicine
• Music
• Public Health

However, the Imperial College, London will provide scholarships for Engineering and Natural Sciences. Indian Studies as a subject will be considered only if it has any contemporary significance. For Music, only applications in Western Classical singing will be considered. And for Film, only applications for Documentary Film-making will be considered.

Inlaks Scholarship Amount

Total funding amounting up to USD 100,000 is provided to successful candidates. However, if the candidate’s expenses exceed this limit, they must convey that they have the ability to cover the expenses on their own during the preliminary interviews.

Inlaks Scholarship Application Procedure

• The application process for the Inlaks Scholarship is done completely online through the official website at https://www.inlaksfoundation.org/scholarships/how-to-apply/.
• No physical inlakhs scholarship application forms will be accepted
• Note: the portal will remain active only from 15th February to 30th March 2022. Post this date, new applications will not be entertained.
• Candidates that wish to apply for dance, film, music, and acting, must upload their portfolio either as a PDF or a website link during the application process
