Begum Hazarat Mahal Scholarship 2022-2023: Begum Hazrat Mahal Scholarship is a National Scholarship funded by the Government of India. Begum Hazrat Mahal National Scholarship 2022

Begum Hazrat Mahal Scholarship is a Merit-based one-time Scholarship. Students who get selected for this scholarship will not be able to avail it again. This is a very popular scholarship and its sanctioning quota is increasing year by year. To date, 5,89,838 girl students have been supported with Rs.504.16 crore by the Foundation since Inception spread across the country. It was founded by MAEF in the academic year 2003-04. As per the Indian National Commission for Minorities Act, the students who belong to Christians, Janis, Muslims, and Buddhists come under minority communities.

MAEF is a non-profit, non-political social service organization. It has been established to promote education to the minority section of society. Begum Hazrat Mahal Scholarship Selection Process

The selection of the students is on the basis of the annual income of the family. The student’s with at least 50% of marks in the previous examination is also one of the selection criteria. However, there is a fixed number of scholarship quotas for each State/UTs. It will be decided based on the minority population in that particular state. However, students with the lowest income will be preferred during the distribution of the scholarship. Then, the selected students will receive the scholarship amount through the DBT process.

MHRD Scholarship 2022

MHRD provides different scholarships to underprivileged students such as Pre-Matric, Post-Matric, Merit Cum Means, & Minority. So, all the category candidates can fill the MHRD scholarship application form and complete their education without any financial hurdles. The total number of scholarships are allocated between the State Education Boards based on the number of students passing out from various boards in the country within the age limit of 18 to 25 years. The State Education Board distributes scholarships between the pass outs of Science, Commerce and Humanities streams in a 3:2:1 ratio. There are 2 categories of MHRD scholarships.

Central Sector Scholarship Scheme

This scholarship is given by MHRD Govt. of India to only the meritorious students who have passed in class 12. 82000 scholarships are awarded every year for pursuing UG/ PG in colleges and universities. Out of 82000 scholarships, 41000 are reserved for boys and the remaining 41000 for girl candidates. Scholarships are also awarded for medical, engineering, etc. professional courses. The following are some important points of the scholarship.

  • The Scholarships are distributed based on the senior secondary examination results.
  • Families’ annual income must not be above Rs. 6 Lakhs.
  • Graduate students will get a scholarship of Rs. 1000/- whereas postgraduate students will get a scholarship of Rs.2000/- per month.

Special Scholarship Scheme for Jammu & Kashmir

This scheme offers to encourage the students from Jammu & Kashmir to study in institutions outside the State. It provides around 5000 scholarships towards tuition fees and maintenance allowance to students. The rate of scholarship towards tuition fee for Engineering courses is Rs.1.25 Lakh per annum, for Medical Courses Rs.3 Lakh per annum and for General Degree courses Rs.30000 per annum.

However, all students can avail of a fixed maintenance allowance of Rs. 1 Lakh per annum. The scholarship amount will be transferred directly to the student’s bank account through the Direct Benefit Transfer mode. 10 supernumerary quotas are available in Engineering colleges whereas 2 to 3 supernumerary quotas are available in Nursing colleges. This scheme also organizes workshops across states. The main goal of this scheme is to provide all the benefits to deserving students.  The following are the eligibility criteria for the scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria for Jammu & Kashmir Scholarship Scheme

  • Families’ annual income must be less than Rs. 6 Lakhs.
  • Students who have passed class 12 from the state and secured admission in Section 12B of the UGC Act, AICTE or respective regulatory body-approved institutions outside the state.
  • Students should apply online on the AICTE portal www.aicte-jk-scholarship-gov.in.
  • Students pursuing courses through Open Universities and Diploma courses are not eligible.
  • Students should not get benefits from other scholarships.
  • Students must not get admission through the management quota.

Scholarship scheme for students from the Non-Hindi speaking States for Post-Matric Studies in Hindi

The main objective of this scheme is to encourage students of Non-Hindi speaking States to study in Hindi. This scheme distributes around 2500 scholarships to meritorious students studying Post-Matric to Ph.D. This scheme also provides Rs. 300 to Rs.1000 per month to each student based on the course and stage of the study. This scheme is implemented by the State Government/ UT Administrations.

  • Agatha Harrison Memorial Fellowship by MHRD: This fellowship scheme offers Indian students a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the UG/ PG level. This fellowship encourages young scholars interested in pursuing an academic career in Modern Indian Studies sponsored by the Government of India at St. Antony’s College, Oxford (U.K.).
  • Korean Government Scholarship by MHRD: This scholarship is provided by the Korean Government to Indian students interested in pursuing higher studies. Indian students have to study at a Korean University or a NIIED designated Institute Under this scholarship. However, the Korean Government will select only 5 students out of 8 nominations and some monthly allowance will be given to those students.
  • Israel Government Scholarship by MHRD: This scholarship is provided by the Isreal Government to Indian students interested in pursuing higher studies at Israel University. A total of 7 scholarships are provided to students out of which 2 are for the Hebrew language and 5 for Research under this scholarship. Students will be benefited from some monthly allowance, health insurance, and tuition fee facilities.
  • Chinese Government Scholarship by MHRD: This scholarship provides an exchange program between China and India. Under this scholarship, students will be benefited from boarding, lodging, health insurance, tuition fee, and other facilities by China Government. Some amount of scholarships will be provided to students.
  • UGC Scholarships by MHRD: University Grants Commission is the educational structure working under MHRD to provide scholarships to meritorious students for their higher education. This scholarship offers college and university education to economically deprived students.
  • AICTE Scholarships by MHRD: This Scholarship is provided to students on a merit basis by AICTE. AICTE offers financial support to students in the form of scholarships.   • MHRD Scholarship 2022 will receive Rs. 6000/- per annum i.e, Rs. 500/- per month for their further studies.
  • The tenure of the scholarship for a Ph.D. is strictly 2 years without any extension.
  • During this tenure a scholarship amount of Rs. 12400/- per month will be paid to students.
  • The rate of MHRD Scholarship for the College and University courses is Rs. 10000/- per annum at graduation level. Whereas Rs. 20000/- per annum will be given at the post-graduation level.

MHRD Scholarship Selection Criteria 2022

Students will be selected for this scholarship on the basis of a written test conducted by the Department. However, each State/ Union Territory will conduct its own competitive written test to select students for the award of the National Means Cum Merit Scholarship. The following are the two tests conducted at the state-level examination.

Mental Ability Test (MAT)

  • It consists of 90 multiple choice questions for testing verbal and non-verbal reasoning and thinking abilities.
  • The questions will be asked from Analogy, Classification, Hidden Figures, etc.
  • MAT test will be held for a duration of 90 minutes.

Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)

  • It consists of 90 multiple choice questions based on Mathematics, Science and Social Science subjects of class VII and VIII syllabus.

MHRD Scholarship Renewal 2022

This scholarship is renewable for up to 5 years in the same stream at the graduation level. For all professional courses, the scholarship will only be renewed up to the graduation level. If a student is unable to appear in the annual exam due to illness or some incident then the scholarship may be renewed for the next academic year on submission of verified proofs. Students changing their college/ University would be allowed to renew the scholarship. APJ Abdul Kalam Scholarship Application Form 2022: Interested applicants can register for this scholarship internet through the state government’s Minority Welfare Scholarships Portal.

Eligibility

  • This is a minority scholarship and can, therefore, be implemented by learners from minority groups like Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Parsi, and Jain.
  • The applicant’s estimated household earnings must not exceed Rs. 8 Lakh.
  • The applicant must be the Kerala state’s indigenous.
  • The candidate must take merit-based government / assisted provincial certificate classes.
  • Candidates of the BPL are provided priority while disbursing this grant.

Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam Scholarships, Jamia Millia Islamia

Abdul Kalam Scholarship Form 2022: Applicants can register by downloading the request type from Jamia Millia Islamia’s university portal and submitting it to the Dean’s cabinet after completing it and attaching the required documents.

Eligibility

  • The candidates must be Jamia Millia Islamia’s bonafide teachers and study periodic UG/PG classes.
  • The candidates must have at least 75 percent participation.
  • The candidates must have either completed the committee of school 12 or acquired a degree of UG.
  • The applicants’ annual household earnings shall not exceed Rs. 2 Lakh.

Dr. Abdul Kalam International Undergraduate Scholarships

Application Process: Students can register the internet through Sydney University’s internet implementation scheme.

Eligibility

  • This scholarship is available for international learners.
  • For any UG program at the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies at Sydney University, the applicants must have an unconditional grant.
  • The applicants must have finished either an Australian Year 12 diploma or an ATAR equal to a capped 98 global junior secondary diploma.

Reward: This scholarship includes only one year 50 percent of the chosen applicant’s education charges.

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Summer Training Program

Application Process: You can apply for this program directly through AcSIR’s formal portal.

Eligibility

  • Applicants enrolled in the first-year MSc program (pre-MSc degree category minimum first-class) are qualified.
  • The candidates may also qualify for a GPA rating of 6.0 on a scale of 10 in the fifth to pre-final year of the Integrated MSc program or equal.
  • GPA rating of 8.0 on a scale of 10 or GPA 7.0 on a scale of 10 for CFT Is at B.E/B. Tech or GATE Score of 600 or NET (Engineering) rank of 1 to 100 may also extend to first-year learners of ME / MTech program or similar.
  • Applicants are qualified to register for a BE / B.Tech program or equal to PA 8.0 on a scale of 10 or GPA 7.0 on a scale of 10.
  • Also eligible are the third to the pre-final year students of the Integrated ME / MTech or equivalent program (GPA 8.0 on a scale of 10 OR GPA 7.0 on a scale of 10 for CFTIs or GATE Score alone or NET).

Reward

  • For this program, a maximum of 20 applicants is chosen and obtain an Rs. 25,000 worth grant for a duration of 2 months.
  • Candidates also receive Rs. 5000 transport subsidy.

Abdul Kalam Technology Innovation National Fellowship

Application Process: Applicants can submit their application/appointment through their organizations/institution heads.

Eligibility

  • The candidates must be Indians employed in India at reputable publicly funded organizations in various engineering capabilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree and skilled professional qualification must be held by the candidates.
  • As on the eve of the grant of this grant, the applicants must have at least 5 years of work remaining in the mother organization.

Reward

  • The applicants earn a grant amounting to Rs. 25,000 per month under this Abdul Kalam grant.
  • The chosen applicants also receive an annual Rs. 15 Lakh research grant to be used for design, study and development operations, including consumables, recruitment of resources, national/international science transport, etc.
  • The housing centers are also provided an expense quantity of Rs. 1 Lakh per year.

President APJ Abdul Kalam Postgraduate Fellowship

  • The candidates must have completed their Indian university degrees.
  • Before submitting their fellowship application, the applicants must have submitted the University of South Florida’s graduate application form and received the university ID code.
  • In the previous topics, candidates must be prepared to follow a Ph.D. degree.

  • For a total duration of 4 years, the chosen applicants receive a tuition fee waiver.
  • The pupils are also awarded a USD 22,000 stipend.
  • The University of South Florida also charges full tuition (up to 12 courses per class) for USF graduate-level credit hours that work towards the graduate degree of the student.

Fulbright Kalam Climate Fellowship

Eligibility

  • The candidates are required to reside in India and Indian people.
  • The candidates ‘ educational records must be outstanding.
  • The applicants must have English language skills.
  • Candidates applicants for doctoral studies must be enrolled in an Indian Ph.D. program and have undertaken appropriate studies in the appropriate sector, particularly in resource detection in India and the United States.
  • Applicants for postdoctoral research must have earned a Ph.D. degree in the previous four years.

District Merit Scholarship (DMS) 2022

DMS is available for students of Kerala who are currently studying in Higher Secondary, VHSC, ITI or polytechnic Courses. This Scholarship is one of the initiatives of Govt. of Kerala to encourage Kerala students for pursuing engineering courses. DMS provides financial support to the underprivileged students who cannot afford their education. It also helps meritorious students to complete engineering courses without financial hassle.

Govt. of Kerala has introduced DMS to award the outstanding meritorious students in the education sector as well as in the economically and socially backward classes. This project envisages the development and implementation of a web-based scholarship management system.
