NIOS Admission 2020 for Class X and XII | Exam Dates, Eligibility, Pattern and Syllabus

NIOS Admission 2019-20: The National Institute of Open Schooling which was earlier known as National Open School is an autonomous organization. It was founded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. of India in 1989 to provide quality and relevant education at the school to pre-degree level. NIOS is an Open and Distance Learning Education (ODL) where students who are working can continue their study to avail of the formal schooling facility. NIOS conducts the 10th and 12th board admissions online in two blocks i.e, Block I and Block II. NIOS admission for Block I starts from 16th March and continues till July 31, 2019, without any late fee. Other than this, students can also apply for NIOS admission on September 15, 2019, with the late fee.

Students must pay the admission fees and also can track the admission status on nios.ac.in. NIOS is responsible to examine and certify learners registered with it up to pre-degree level courses whether Technical, Academic or Vocational. NIOS also offers elementary level courses to the learners through its Open Basic Education Programmes (OBE). NIOS Admission Dates 2019-20

NIOS Admission conducts yearly twice. Admissions for block1 is going on and can be applied till the last date. Whereas the admissions for block II will be started from 16th September 2019.

NIOS 2019 Exam Dates

NIOS will release the date sheet for the Block I exam in February 2020. However, the NIOS Block I exam will be conducted in March/April 2020. Whereas the NIOS Block II exam will be conducted in October/ November 2020. In 2019, NIOS 10th exam conducted on 3rd April whereas NIOS 12th exam conducted on 2nd April. The date sheet contains the exam dates for secondary and higher secondary courses offered by NIOS. Last year, NIOS secondary date sheet was released along with a higher secondary date sheet on February 27, 2019.

NIOS Admission Eligibility Criteria

Refer to the below eligibility criteria to get admission in NIOS secondary and higher secondary level.

Class 10 Eligibility Conditions:

  • The minimum age of the learner must be 14 years as of July 31, 2019, or born on or before July 31, 2005.
  • A learner giving self-certificate saying that I have studied enough to be eligible for admission to the class 10.
  • The learner must have completed class 8 from the recognized board.
  • The learner who has already studied in class 10 can also search for NIOS admission either to complete the course or to improve the performance.

Class 12 Eligibility Conditions:

  • The minimum age of the learner must be 15 years as of July 31, 2019, or born on or before July 31, 2004.
  • The learner must have completed class 10 from the recognized board.

NIOS 2019-20 Admission Process

Admission in NIOS offers education universally with the flexibility of self-learning in remote and rural areas. NIOS admission for Block I have already started on 16th March 2019 and will be continued till 15th September 2019, including a late fee. The learners can possess admission online as well as offline. Learners must register themselves to fill the online admission form. Learners can also download, fill the offline admission form and submit it to the NIOS regional center.

NIOS board is similar to CBSE and ICSE boards. So, learners can choose NIOS admission to continue their secondary and senior secondary education to get higher scores. Learners must refer to the below-mentioned procedures for NIOS admission.

  • Visit the official website sdmis.nios.ac.in.
  • It will go to the homepage of the NIOS portal.
  • Go to the Admission menu, select Academic and click on Stream 1 (Block 1 Open) for NIOS registration. See the picture below for registration.
  • Go through the instructions mentioned below and enter the Identity No. Then, select the State/UT, Identity Type and Course Applying For options either secondary for 10th and senior secondary for 12th class. See the below-given picture to fill-up the form.
  • Click on the submit button and it will go to the Basic Details form.
  • Enter address, basic and other information properly and submit to go to the optional details form.
  • Fill the optional details correctly and submit them to go to the subject’s form.
  • In this form, select the subjects and exam center for the exam.
  • Next, upload the scanned copies of the required documents (.jpg or .jpeg files) and submit them for review. The following documents are required to be uploaded.
  • Aadhar card or passport or ration card for identity proof.
  • Birth Certificate for checking the date of birth.
  • Valid residential Address proof (Aadhaar card/Water Bill/Electricity Bill/Voter Id/Ration card).
  • Recent passport size color photo with the signature in black ink.
  • Caste certificate for reserved category and Disability Certificate for PwD category students.
  • Ex-serviceman certificate for Ex-serviceman category learners. Class 8th mark sheets for secondary and class 10th mark sheets for senior secondary courses.
  • Then review the form thoroughly and make sure all the details have been entered correctly. Otherwise, modify the form if required.
  • Click on Submit and Generate OTP to validate the mobile number and email address with the OTP.
  • If the filled form is found correct then process the payment and click on register. It will go to the acknowledgment page, take a hardcopy of it for future purposes.

After that, the learners can view their NIOS admission status online.

NIOS Admission Fee 2019-20

  • The admission fee can only be paid online through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking.
  • No Demand Draft/Bank Draft/Cash/Cheque or any other payment mode is acceptable.
  • Admission can not be done by any Agencies/Cyber Cafe or any other institutes recognized by NIOS.
  • Apart from these, the learner has to pay extra Rs. 50/- as the cost of the online application form.

NIOS Exam Fee 2019-20

  • The learners who are attending the secondary and higher secondary exam have to fill the application form.
  • Then they must pay the exam fee after getting confirmation of the admission.
  • Exam fees must be paid separately, not with an admission fee. NIOS Block I exam fee will be paid in November / December.
  • Whereas the NIOS Block II exam fee will be paid in February / March.
  • Exam fees can only be paid online through credit card/ debit card/ net banking.

NIOS Admit Card Details

  • NIOS admit card will be available online to download in March 2019.
  • Learners have to enter their enrollment numbers to download separate admit cards for practical and theory examination.
  • NIOS admit card contains learner and exam center details.
  • Exam center will be allotted to learners as per their selection at the time of filling the exam form.
  • Finally, NIOS will decide the allotment of the exam center. Once it is allotted any request for changing it will not be considered.
  • Admit card is an important document that needs to be carried by the learner to sit in the exam.

NIOS Question Paper Details

Learners who are preparing for NIOS secondary and senior secondary exams can practice the previous year’s question papers. The RTE admission for Maharashtra state economically weak family’s children has been undertaken by 25% of the seats available for them in the private schools of the state. The admission procedure is divided into 3 parts

Part – 1: School

Part – 2: Child

The steps involved are as follows.

  • Get your application number registered on the system. The application number and password will be communicated on your registered mobile.
  • Enter child details, parent details.
  • Locate the address accurately to list schools within 1 KM and within 1-3 KM range from your house.
  • Select the required standard.
  • Upload the required documents.
  • Confirm the application.
  • After confirmation, take the printed application along with the required documents to help desk provided.

Part – 3: Lottery

  • The schools having more vacancies and less number of applications will allot the seats to all applicants.
  • The schools having less vacancy will use a lottery system. The lottery will be drawn and generated by the district administration i.e. Education officer, Primary for the district.
  • The selection list will be published on the system.
  • The list will be made available under application login for parents. The admit card can be printed.

Lottery Logic for Allocation of School

  • The lottery system is valid for only those schools, which has got more number of applications for admissions, than the number of seats available, as per 25% reservation.
  • All the eligible candidates should be considered for all their preferred school’s allotment. No candidates will be dropped after the allotment for one school. E.g. if the candidate applied for 5 schools, he/she may be allotted to all 5 schools or less than 5 schools.
  • For the allotment, priority should be given to candidates residing within the range of 1 KM radius from the school and then for the candidates residing within the range of 2-3 KM radius from the schools applied.
  • After the completion of School allotments to the candidates residing within the radius of 1 KM, candidates residing within the radius of 2-3 KM will be considered for the remaining vacancies with the lottery logic as explained below.

RTE Rajasthan Admission 2019 Eligibility Criteria

The candidate applying should be a resident of the catchment area. As per the rule stated in RTI, the range of the school will be given as per the space available in Nagar Parishad/ Nagar Nigam/ Nagar Palika. During the time of admission, the candidate from th3 village schools or living in the village area will be given preference. The candidates from the city schools will not be given admission in any case.

Categories coming under weak section

As the per the state rules, the candidates will be considered under the weaker section if he/she belongs to one of the categories given below

  • SC/ST category students
  • Orphan children
  • Candidates whose parent’s yearly income is less than Rs. 1 lakh
  • Students that are suffering from cancer/HIV or students whose parents are suffering from the same disease
  • PWD candidates
  • Those candidates whose parents are included in the list of the BPL category as per the list prepared by the state authority
  • War Widows
  • Students from the special backward class or backward class category and whose parent’s income is less than Rs. 1 lakh yearly.

RTE Rajasthan Admission – Age Criteria

For admissions of the candidates into the entry less class, age eligibility criteria are based on the two options provided by the school

RTE Rajasthan Admission – Valid Certificates for The Candidates

Candidates taking part in the admission process should submit a residential certificate which is issued by the tehsildar. For the residential proof, below certificates will be considered as valid: Aadhaar card/Ration card/Voter ID card/Electricity bill/Driving license/Water bill. The certificate which is issued should mention the name of the ward or village clearly. Candidates that are applying from weak section or uncomfortable section should provide a certificate which is from an authorized officer. Parent’s or students suffering from cancer or HIV should issue the report from a registered diagnostic center.

RTE Rajasthan Admission – Application Process

To apply for RTE Rajasthan admission, candidates have to make the application online at the registered portal which is rte.raj.nic.in. The candidates can reach out this portal as per the time frame mentioned in the schedule above.

  • Application form filling: Candidates need to to fill the application online for the admission into the school that comes in the range of their village area. Application forms will require the student’s details in a legit and clear format. Also, it is mandatory for candidates to provide an active mobile number. After furnishing a few details, the parent or guardian will receive a unique password and application ID which should be kept safe.
  • Login: Once the process of application is over, candidates need to login into their RTE Rajasthan admission account to complete their form. On the form, clearly, mention the details of the child. Enter details like date of birth of student, the income of parents, class in which the candidate is seeking the admission, etc. You will be able to select the school out of the given list of 15 schools that come under the catchment area.
  • Printout: After the application form is filled, candidates will be required to lock their information. It is advisable to takeout a print copy of your application form for any future purposes.

RTE Rajasthan Admission Result

The result for RTE Rajasthan admission will be declared online. Candidates should follow the steps below to check their result.

  • Log in to the official Rajasthan government website as given in the link above.
  • There are two options that will be visible to you: By name of the school and by the location of the school.
  • To the check using the location of the school, select the right option, then select the district and enter the details.
  • Then enter the captcha visible on the screen and click on discover.
  • If you want to check using the name of the school, select the district, enter the first 3 letters of school name, and enter the captcha visibly, and click on discover.

RTE Rajasthan Admission – Reporting Time In School

After the lottery is drawn online, the guardian or parent has to report their desired school along with the print out of the required application form and original documents on the given date. The applicants also need to fill an adaptive reporting form and collect a receipt from the school which is related to the form. On the application form, paste a photograph of the child. The applicant should report as per the schedule mentioned. If there is a school that does not allow the applicant to appear for the mentioned process then this matter should be reported as soon as possible to the district officer or pre-primary education officer. Immediate action should be taken against these type of schools.

RTE Rajasthan Admission – Document Verification

After the lottery is drawn online using the software, the students will be selected randomly and will be admitted to the school. The admission given will be provisional and will only be confirmed after all the documents are verified and have gone through the scrutiny.

RTE Rajasthan Admission – Selection Procedure

There are a total of 30 seats for general category and 10 seats for free education. Admission into entry-level class for free and compulsory education act of 2009 has provisionally declared that every non-governmental school in the state should reserve a 25 percent of their seat for children coming from a weaker section. Also, they will be provided free and compulsory education up to 8th class. For the admission of the candidate, work needs to do based on the given time frame. Admission into entry-level classes will be processed based on the order of the state authority. Based on this rule, all the private school should permit direct entry-level class admissions 25 percent to the children from weaker sections.

For this process, the lottery is drawn based on the random system through software in which all the eligible registrations are received online on the RTE portal. In this process, the children who are the resident of the same village or ward are taken first. Thus, he/she is given priority based on the random process. After the applications are left, for the remaining, the village panchayat resides in which the school is located. The centralized lottery is released on the scheduled date in the education package. Soon after the exit of the lottery, the school wise list which is prepared is displayed online. The priority list provided is not guaranteed admission. JET Counselling Procedure 2019

Rajasthan JTE 2019 counselling will be conducted by MPUAT Authority for all the qualified candidates of an examination. The counselling will follow step by step procedure and each step must be performed by the candidate to become eligible for admission. The procedure of JET Agriculture Counselling 2019 is explained below:

  • Candidates have to pay the fees of Rs.5000/- online via their own or relatives bank account/ debit card or credit card.
  • Read the instructions carefully before filling the counselling form.
  • Candidate must keep ready the information and list of colleges along with with an order of choice on a separate paper and mark sheets or desired certificates if any.
  • There will be no changes made after the final submission of the online form.
  • For admission in B. Tech. (Dairy Technology) and B. Tech. (Food Technology) only the candidates attempted the PCM (Physics, Chemistry & Maths) in JET Examination are eligible.
  • Details about college, fees and hostel facility may be obtained from “About the colleges” of this web site or he/ she may contact the college directly.
  • Fees of Rs. 5000/- deposited with options form (online) will be adjusted in college fees of the candidate.
  • If the candidate will not get admission in any of the institute filled in option form the fee will be refunded through the same channel where from he/she paid the fees.

JET Counselling 2019 – Seat Allotment

On the basis of secured marks and reservation policy, the colleges will be allotted on the basis of the options form.  In case of any tie, the tie will break on the basis of higher marks scored in 12th than in 10th than more in age will be given priority.  Through option form, three times seats will be allotted. The reserved seats will be allotted to reserve candidates only if option form of those category candidates is available else the seat will be filled from the candidates wherefrom that seat gets reserve.

JET Counselling 2019 – Upward Assessment

  • The candidates get college in the first allotment should either deposit the fees of that institution online or apply for upward assessment in case he/she wants to change the college have to pay an online fee of Rs 800/- for upward assessment else candidate will be treated as not reported.
  • Candidates getting a seat in the second allotment (upward or new) have to either deposit the fees of that college online or apply for upward assessment in case they want to change the college have to pay an online fee of Rs 800/- else candidate will be treated as not reported.
  • On or before the specified date the candidates who get a seat in the third allotment have to deposit the fees of that college online else candidate will be treated as not reported.
  • The upward assessment fee Rs.800/ is non-refundable whether a candidate gets a better choice from the option form or not.
  • After upward assessment if the candidate gets any other institute or allotment remain unchanged, they will be required to accept final allotment and deposit the respective fee of allotted college otherwise the admission will be considered as canceled and amount Rs.5000/ deposited will be abandoned.

JET On Spot Counselling 2019

If seats remain vacant even after the 2nd round of counselling, the same will be filled through this counseling.

  • This counseling will be held at Udaipur, Kota, Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Bikaner centers. Name of the institutions will be declared later on.
  • Candidate has to report at the desired center.
  • Candidates who did not get admission or not reported candidates will be eligible for filling the option form. But who reported in the institutions will not eligible.
  • Online option form may be filled after paying Rs 5000/- + bank charges. Candidates who did not get seat through previous option form need not pay the option form fee again.
  • Vacant seats will be filled by the category candidates if available else from the candidates wherefrom the seat get reserve using merit and above option form.
  • Candidate has to deposit immediately the fee of allotted college (online) and all original documents and their self-attested copies.
  • Applicants have to report in the college on a given date. The admission process will be closed with this process even seat remains vacant. As per the Hon’ble Governor, Govt. of Rajasthan the last date of admission is 31-07-2019.

TANCET Counselling 2019-2020: TANCET stands for Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test. It is conducted by Anna University for admission to M.E. M.Tech, MBA, MCA, M.Arch and M.Plan courses. The score of TANCET is accepted by more than 400 government and non-government colleges of Tamil Nadu.

TANCET Counselling Procedure 2020

  • You will have to report on time to the counselling venue allotted to you. Note that your admission may be forfeited if you fail to turn up on time.
  • You will be allowed to fill in your preferred order of colleges and courses.
  • You will be allotted a seat based on your rank in the merit list and number of vacancies available.
  • To secure the seat, you need to pay the admission fee
    • ₹5300 for open candidates
    • ₹1150 for SC/ST/SCA
    • candidates of Tamil Nadu which includes the non-refundable amount of ₹300(₹150 for SC/ST/SCA) towards counselling fee.

TANCET Counselling General Instructions

  • If you are not satisfied with the seat allotted to you, you can attend the subsequent rounds of counselling.
  • Candidates absent in the first or second phase of counselling will not be allowed to attend the subsequent stages of TANCET counselling 2020.
  • Colleges allotted in the last round of counselling will be considered as final.
  • Make sure that you reach the counselling venue an hour in advance.
  • Change of date/time of counselling is not permissible. Authorities are not responsible for the postal delay or non-receipt of counseling intimation.
  • Once a seat is allotted, the amount of 5,000/- for general or 1,000/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates already paid at the time of counselling will be adjusted towards the tuition fee to be paid to the respective allotted college.
  • You are advised to post the completed application with all the enclosures well in advance so as to reach Anna University, Chennai-25 on or before the specified date and time. The application may be sent by Registered post or Speed post to avoid any delay.
  • You have to pay the remaining fees in the college concerned at the time of admission on the date specified in the allotment order. No further correspondence will be entertained pertaining to Admissions.

The counselling procedure for TANCET 2020 is simple and straight-forward. You can register by filling the application form (downloaded from the official website or obtained from the issue center) and sending it to the secretary of Anna University, enclosing all the necessary documents. Note that a counseling fee is to be paid depending on your category.

You will be called for counselling based on your rank in the merit list. You will receive an online counselling call letter that you need to download and take a print out of. NVS Syllabus And Exam Pattern 2020 – NVS Selection Procedure

  • Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in written examination/ Computer Based Test (CBT) and interview / Personal Interaction put together.
  • In the case of Legal Assistant, Female Staff Nurse & Catering Assistant the selection to the post will be done on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the written examination / CBT only.

NIOS Class 12 Admit Card 2019: The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) will release the notification for downloading the class 12 admit card. NIOS class 12 admit card will be released online for the exam to be held on September-October 2019 under the open board. After downloading the admit card, it should be attested with the signature of the nearest Study Centers Principal. Learners can download the class 12 admit card from the official website nios.ac.in. There will be separate admit cards available online to download for theory and practical exams. Learners must reach in the exam hall at least half an hour before the commencement of the exam. Learners must reach before the scheduled time along with the hall ticket, original identity card provided by NIOS. NIOS Class 12 Admit Card Download

NIOS will release the class 12 board exam admit card in the month of September 2019. Learners must refer to the following steps to download the NIOS class 12 hall ticket for March-May 2020.

  • Go to the NIOS official website www.nios.ac.in.
  • Click on the “Examination / Result” link available on the home page of the portal.
  • Then, “Public Exam Hall Ticket September-October 2019” will appear under the DateSheet and Hall Ticket section.
  • Click on it to generate the hall ticket for September-October 2019 Theory and Practical examination.
  • Then, enter the 12 digit enrollment number, select the hall ticket type and click on submit to download the hall ticket.

NIOS Class 12 Exam Centers

NIOS has many exam centers present in different regions across India. Learners can view their exam center name allotted by NIOS in class 12 admit card.
